MALL Mall formed in 1997 as a lo-fi two-piece on an analog four-track, taking major influence from the likes of Windy & Carl, Azusa Plane, Flowchart, & similar artists that combined a laid back approach to minimal melodies and a deeper zone. Driven by the anti-rock motto "No guitars, no rock stars", they've compiled a decent discography over the past decade-plus consisting of three full-lengths, a remix album, and a couple handfuls of comp tracks and remixes on many labels. Sporadic addt'l studio players have included members of Flowchart & Pacfica / Collette Carter. |
